IAAIS is a worldwide organization of over a hundred independent Audio Information Services which provide printed material of news and entertainment in audio form for people with vision loss and other disabilities. In almost all cases, these services are provided free of charge. IAAIS assists and encourages the formation of Audio Information Services all over the world.

MindsEye translates vision into audio. Committed to creating accessibility to print media, arts and culture, sports and more, MindsEye provides a broad range of programs for the Metro Saint Louis area. Their radio reading service has a long and proud tradition of excellence; in fact, MindsEye was the third such service in the country and the first to operate in either Illinois or Missouri.

MindsEye began their Blindfolded Breakfasts in August 2017; these community events welcome folks to experience for a brief moment what it’s like for someone living with a visual-impairment. Focusing on building awareness as well as fundraising, these community breakfasts are scheduled twice a year on both sides of the river, to give everyone in the Metro Saint Louis Area a chance to join together over a delicious breakfast while learning more about MindsEye.
