Location

The Saint Louis Art Museum is located at 1 Fine Arts Drive, St. Louis, MO 63110.

Parking

Free public parking is available in the two lots located on the north side of Fine Arts Drive, across from the Museum. Accessible parking is available in the public lots and in the parking garage. Accessible entrances to the Museum are located at the East Building and in the parking garage. An accessible drop-off area is located directly in front of the East Building.

Paid parking is available in the Museum’s three-hundred-space underground parking garage, located on Fine Arts Drive. The garage is open to the public during Museum hours (thirty minutes prior to opening to thirty minutes after closing), and is available after hours for events in Forest Park, including the Art Hill Film Series.

Parking Garage Fees and Payment:

Public: $15 daily.

Members: $5 daily. To receive the discount, tickets must be validated at one of the Museum’s Information Centers prior to payment at the electronic pay station.

Payment is accepted at the electronic pay station located on garage level P1.

Please remember to take your parking ticket with you into the Museum for validation and payment.

Call-a-Ride, Ride Shares, Taxi

There is ample room for ride shares to drop-off and pick up directly in front of the main entrance. For an accessible entrance with a ramp, asked to be dropped off in front of the East (new) building.

Public Transportation

There are two MetroLink stops within walking distance of the Museum. The Skinker Station is approximately 0.8 of a mile from the Museum, a fifteen-minute walk. Walk south along Skinker past Lindell. Turn left onto Lagoon for .3 miles and then turn right onto Fine Arts Drive at the Edward Bates Statue. This will take you to the front of the museum.

The Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station is at the intersection of DeBaliviere Avenue and Forest Park Parkway just north of Forest Park. To walk from there, you will cross Forest Park Parkway and Lindell and walk around the History Museum on either side and then veer right onto Lagoon Drive. The Tennis Center will be on your left. This will wind around the Grand Basin. Veer to the left onto Fine Arts Drive which goes around Art Hill. This will take you directly to the museum.

Please note that you can cut through the park but there are multiple paths, many with poor or no lighting. Cutting through also puts Post-Dispatch Lake between you and the museum and many paths are quite close to the water with no railing.

The #90 Hampton bus stops just outside the main entrance.

Tickets and Will Call

The Saint Louis Art Museum is free to attend. There is a donation box with an attendant when you enter the building. The information desk is directly in the center when you walk in the door.

Audio Description Devices

For events in the Farrell Auditorium, audio description devices may be picked up at the ticketing desk just to the left of the doors.

A MindsEye representative will need an ID to exchange for the device. We will keep your ID during the performance and return it to you when you return the device after the performance. AD receivers are small, handheld devices. They have a standard size headphone jack, and you are strongly encouraged to bring your own headphones. Sanitized headphones can also be provided at no cost. These headsets are yours to take with you and bring back next time.

Restrooms

Accessible restrooms are located in Taylor Hall in the East Building. An accessible family restroom is located near The Farrell Auditorium coat check.

Service Animal Policy

Certified service animals are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Only dogs and miniature horses trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability are considered service animals.

Notes

Magnifying glasses are available at the Information Centers, as are large-print copies of exhibition labels.
