This Know-Before-You-Go guide is meant to help you plan for your upcoming visit to The Muny for an audio described event. For questions related to audio description services, email AD@mindseyeradio.org.

This page is not affiliated with the venue and is meant to assist audio description patrons. If you have questions about the venue, please contact them directly via the information at the bottom of this page.

Location

The Muny is located at 1 Theatre Dr., St. Louis, MO 63112.

Parking

All parking lots at The Muny include reserved spaces for accessible parking. These spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and require a state-issued hang tag or license plate. If there are no disabled spaces available, the lower lot may be used as a pick-up and drop-off point for passengers requiring assistance.

Call-a-Ride, Ride Shares, Taxi

Rideshares may drop off at the Lower Muny parking lot, which is accessible. If you use a Ride-Share that drops you NOT at the accessible lot, there are two designated spots, one at the intersections of Pagoda Circle and Theatre Drive or Pagoda Circle and McKinley Drive. Ask to be dropped on Theatre Drive as it is much closer.

Public Transportation

The closest Metrolink and Metrobus station is Forest Park and DeBaliviere.

NEW FOR 2022! The Muny is providing a red five-passenger shuttle to and from the station to the front of the Muny.  It starts at 7 PM and runs back and forth. It will also run after the show.

Tickets and Will Call

You can visit the box office at the front of the Muny at 1 Theatre Drive. You can also set up an account online.

Audio Description Devices

You may pick up your device at Cafe One and Souvenirs on the east side near the Culver Pavilion. If you enter from the Lower Muny parking lot, which is also the accessible drop-off location, Cafe One will be in front of you when you enter. If you enter from the front of The Muny, follow the walkway on the LEFT side of the main box office toward gate oneThe Muny staff will get you a device and direct you to your seats.

Restrooms

Accessible restrooms are located next to Café One.

Service Animal Policy

Service animals are permitted on the premises. Dogs or other pets whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Wheel Chair Assistance

Patrons in wheelchairs may receive assistance between the lower lot and the auditorium. Usher service begins at 7:30 p.m. and continues until 8:25 p.m. Upon request, ushers may check on patrons during intermission. After the show, ushers will assist patrons in getting back to their parking lot.

Braille Menus

Braille menus are available at Café One and all concession stands.

Free Seats

There are 1,400 free seats in the last nine rows at the Muny. Free seats are claimed on a first-come, first-served basis. The gates open at 7:00 p.m. each evening in Lichtenstein Plaza.
