From Lighthouse for the Blind – St. Louis:

Hello!

We’re excited to share some news from Lighthouse for the Blind St Louis and MindsEye Adaptive Athletics. This year, instead of hosting our traditional overnight sports camp, we’re introducing something new: Adaptive Sports Adventure Day, a full and active day of fun for blind and visually impaired youth ages 10–21.

Adaptive Sports Adventure Day will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026. This day is designed just for the kids, so families will drop off in the morning and pick up after the event wraps up.

Throughout the day, participants will get the chance to experience a variety of adaptive sports, including beepball, goalball, archery, and tandem biking. It’s a welcoming environment where kids and young adults can challenge themselves, try something new, and meet friends who share their interests. Lunch will be provided for all.

The event will take place at Webster University’s University Center from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. We will have plenty of support on hand to ensure everyone feels comfortable and included.

We can’t wait to bring everyone together for this new adventure and create a day filled with confidence, teamwork, and fun.

The application is can be found here:

You will need Adobe to complete it electronically.

Please help us spread the word and let us know if you have any questions!

Thank you,
