Get ready to fill your calendar with holiday cheer! St. Louis has outdone itself this year with audio described Christmas options!

A Drag Queen Christmas

First up, Murray and Peter Present A Drag Queen Christmas 10th Anniversary Tour at Stifel Theatre. Don’t take too long to make up your mind on this one! It’s Friday, November 29 at 8 PM. Nina West will be your most congenial host, which is fitting since she won Miss Congeniality on the 11th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. A Drag Queen Christmas is the longest-running drag tour in America and will be filled with all your favorite personalities, including queens from All Stars 9.

Please note this show is 18 and older only! The doors open at 7 and there will be one 20 minute intermission.

For Tickets, visit the box office, click here for Ticketmaster, or call the Stifel Accessibility Hotline at 314-622-5420.

Nina West
Nina West smiles with her pink lips wide open. Her copper hair is stacked high atop her head in big waves. She wears a festive white dress with pink and orange polka dots, stripes, and ruffles that hit her at mid-thigh. Her matching gloves cover her entire arms all the way up to her off-the-shoulder ruffled sleeves. Pink rosettes with clear jewels decorate her arms, and one large flower dots her waist and another and her neckline. Her heels are sequined pink, the same color as her lips.

The Nutcracker and the World’s Fair

Next up are two options for Ballet 314’s The Nutcracker and the World’s Fair, which will be performed at Edison Theatre at Washington University. We highly recommend you check it out at the sensory-friendly advance viewing on Thursday, December 12 at 6 PM. Experience everyone’s favorite holiday classic, reimagined to take place right here, at the St. Louis 1904 World’s Fair! Community performers from across the Gateway City join Ballet 314’s professional company in this narrated story ballet, set to the familiar Tchaikovsky score.

At this newly added “Advance Viewing,” audiences will get an insider look at Ballet 314’s final dress rehearsal, presented in our sensory-friendly format. Be the first to see the finished product before we “open the gates” on December 13th!

Already have tickets for Friday, December 13th at 10 AM? No problem! MindsEye will also be describing that performance. However, that one is nearly sold out, so if you need to purchase tickets, opt for Thursday evening. Follow the link to purchase tickets. Click here for Ballet 314 tickets.

The run time is 90 minutes with a 15-minute intermission and is suitable for all ages.

The Nutcracker

If you can’t make it to either of the Ballet 314 performances (or if you want to experience both!) check out The Nutcracker by COCA on Saturday, December 14 at 3 PM. Also based in St. Louis, COCA’s Ballet Eclectica version also features the classic Tchaikovsky score. Clara befriends a nutcracker who comes to life and battles the Mouse King. We follow the lead characters on an enchanting journey through historical landmarks, with characters inspired by famous staples of St. Louis! Featured guest artists include COCA alumna JiaLi Deck and from Dance Theatre of Harlem, Carly Greene and David Wright.

Red text outlined in gold, The Nutcracker.

Million Dollar Quartet Christmas

And lastly, don’t miss your chance to check out Million Dollar Quartet Christmas by The Rep at Loretto-Hilton Center on Thursday, December 19 at 7 PM. You’ll forget there is even a stage as you’re transported back to Sun Records studio in December of 1956 when Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, and Carl Perkins had an impromptu jam session. You’ll hear their hits along with Christmas classics. Many of these performers were recently in a production of Million Dollar Quartet by STAGES St. Louis, and their talent at bringing these legends to life is unmatched. You don’t want to miss this one!
