MINDSEYE LAUNCHES NEW BROADCAST APP FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED
The free app is available for download on Apple iOS and Google Play
ST. LOUIS, MO/SPRINGFIELD, ILL. – MindsEye, a leading nonprofit organization committed to promoting inclusivity and empowering individuals with visual impairments, has announced the launch of a new, free broadcast app. The innovative app, called MindsEye Broadcast, is now available for download on Apple iOS and Google Play, providing a new platform for individuals with visual impairments to access a wide array of audio content.
“The launch of the new app underscores Mindseye’s ongoing dedication to empowering individuals with visual impairments by providing them with tools to enhance their daily lives. Through this app, users can engage with informative and entertaining audio content, expanding their opportunities for learning, entertainment, and staying connected with the world around them,” said MindsEye Executive Director Jason Frazier.
The app is an extension of MindsEye’s Broadcast Information Program which serves 32 counties throughout the bi-state Greater St. Louis and Springfield, Illinois regions. Within the app, users have access to a diverse selection of content including newspapers, books, ads, magazines, and other printed material all conveniently accessible on their mobile devices. A live stream from both regional broadcasts is available as well as previously recorded programming in various categories including local or national news, consumer information, entertainment, sports, religious or spiritual, and more.
The app’s user-friendly interface and diverse content options make it a versatile tool for individuals seeking a more customizable digital audio experience. The app does not require an account or a login, allowing anyone to access the free programming. A highlighted feature is the ability to choose programming on demand rather than waiting for the content to play in a stream. Listeners can also adjust the speed to best suit their needs.
The app is available to download now in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store by searching MindsEye. For more information about Mindseye, please visit www.mindseyeradio.org.
